Objectives:

A 2 day seminar especially suited for those involved with hosting visiting business persons. The seminar objectives are to provide practical training in order to develop the skill of being the perfect business host and managing prosperous entertainment.

The course will improve your ability to:

  • Appreciate and meet the expectations of business and social visitors.
  • Develop customer service and communication skills.
  • Help participants to develop a positive image of culture and heritage in the host country and understand how to present it to foreigners.
  • Create a relaxed, warm and friendly atmosphere with visiting guests.
  • Increase skills in etiquette at international "5" star or week-end cottage level.
  • Link the social aspects of being a good host to enhancing business relationships.

  • Customer expectations in theory and practice
  • Welcome to my country - being aware of diverse cultures and how others may see it
  • Starting conversations (Why and How?)
  • Questioning techniques - Creating the right atmosphere
  • Creating favourable first impressions
  • Are you communicating?
  • The communication process - body language, vocal communication, listening skills
  • Perceptions - of individuals, the company, the country

Day 2

  • You be the guide!
  • Enhancing the visitor's enjoyment of the business trip
  • Acquainting the visitor with your culture and your heritage
  • Appropriate manners and etiquette
  • Preparation for the "5" star restaurant
  • Check your level of hosting skill
  • Practical advice for hosting and entertaining
  • "Hands On" practice
  • Review of the influences and memories that the visitor will take away with him
